Comments: This hotel, which opened in 2014, looks comfortable and the front desk staff were very pleasant and helpful. I assumed at first that it was under the same management as the Oliver Hotel, but the staff informed me that wasn't the case and that the two hotels have different owners. Comments: Somehow, referring to anything in Dannok as 'high class' just seems wrong. In addition to offering rooms by the day (they didn't mention anything about hourly rates), rooms are also available for monthly rental.
For stays up to six months, the rate is Bt6,200 per month, but for stays in excess of six months, the monthly rate drops to Bt5,600. Rooms are fully furnished with TVs and refrigerators, etc.

Comments: In my quest to find the rudest person in Dannok, it was a close run thing between the receptionist here and the one at Lanna Mansion.
She wouldn't tell me how many rooms were in the hotel, and neither would she give me a simple room rate. All I could ascertain was that room rates are around Bt500. Considering that this hotel is in the same league as lots of other similar places in Dannok which charge around Bt400 a night, it therefore seems expensive.
I suspect she was lying in order to try to overcharge me, and that was the reason why she was so vague with her answers. Lovely lady.
Very highly recommended.

Comments: The hotel receptionist here was a very pleasant Muslim girl. I think the hotel may be run by Muslim owners. There is a large Thai Muslim population in the deep south of Thailand near the Malaysian border.

Comments: A typical dirty, squalid, cheap Dannok guest house with prices advertised in Malaysian Ringgits and rooms to rent by the hour.
The woman I spoke to in this place was one of the rudest Thais I have ever encountered. I don't know how many rooms there are because she wouldn't tell me.

Comments: An interesting name for a Dannok hotel. I don't know where the nearest marina is - probably hundreds of miles away - but it sure ain't in Dannok. The workman in the photo is applying a new lick of paint to the outside of the hotel.
Anyway, it looks OK and the room rate is cheap. It's right in the centre of a particularly active area of Dannok and a lot of Thai working girls seem to use the terrace area outside the hotel as somewhere to relax while not entertaining customers.
Punters leaving the hotel from either exit need go no further than about five yards to find the nearest karaoke bar.

Comments: This hotel, a large building with 130 rooms, is part of Oliver Plaza and it is fairly new. When I first saw it I thought it was a long way from the Malaysian border. However, now that Dannok has grown so large, it is closer to the border than several other newer places.
The small road on the left side of the hotel is full of karaoke bars, including the ones built into the ground floor of the hotel. It looks cleaner than many other places, owing to the fact it is relatively new, but exactly the same stuff goes on as elsewhere in Dannok.
The girls working in the hotel reception are very pleasant, polite, respectable Thai girls. The Thai girls working just outside aren't quite in the same category, but they tend to be very popular. Oliver Plaza contains various shops and restaurants.
