Comments: This hotel is a member of the Palace Group. There seem to be a lot of hotels in Dannok with the word 'Palace' in their names.

- It looked like a nice hotel, and even when you are in the room it looks nice. What was kind of neat is that the ceiling is built that when the light is looks like the night sky. Also I liked the fact that the TV had two channels of porn, European and Japanese.
The problem that I had with the hotel is that even though it is a new build, there is no sound proofing between rooms. Thus during the night at various intervals you can hear all the different sexual activities going on around you, and there is lots of it.
Over all the hotel is OK, but for 800 baht I expect a bit more than this place provided. (April 2012)

- Room clean a wee bit small but not cramped. Bht 850 a night. Cleanliness acceptable, no room facilities instruction with only room service menu. Bathtub n shower toiletries basic small bar of soap mini shampoo and shower cap. To use wifi username room number e.g. 522 password s522. Comments: Cheap, friendly and - for Dannok - relatively pleasant. Rooms are available to rent at any time of the day so it doesn't matter what time you want to bring a nice girl back, the hotel check-in will be open. There are 12 rooms.

Comments: This large hotel advertises lots of facilities, including Turkish Bath, Thai Massage, Restaurant, Gift Shop, Internet Corner and Coffee Shop.
I didn't check out all the facilities, but Turkish Bath is normally a euphemism in Thailand for aap op nuat (warm bath and sex).

Comments: After encountering so many rude receptionists in Dannok, it was a relief to talk to a Thai who behaved like a normal, friendly Thai.
SP Palace advertises Tamil music, thus catering for the many Indian Malaysian male tourists who come over the border every week for the same thing as their Chinese Malaysian counterparts.

Comments: The Vista is a new hotel in Dannok, which opened in early 2016, and workmen were still applying the finishing touches when I visited in May 2016. It is owned by the Satit group, which owns other hotels in Dannok. It looks very comfortable, but the prices are high. Renting a room in Hat Yai for a month is cheaper than renting a family suite for one night and the pricing structure is more complicated than elsewhere.
