Comments: Many Hat Yai hotels have their own in-house massage shops and this is the one in Florida Hotel.
There is a good selection of girls and the viewing area is very customer-friendly. The rooms are small and comfortable.
The rates are:
Two hours of Thai massage: Bt300
Two hours of oil massage: Bt600
One hour of foot massage: Bt250
Back and shoulder massage (one hour): Bt250
It is open from 9am to 11pm.

- Arrived at nearly 10.00 pm so there was only 1 working lady left, did not actually agree with the manager who insisted that she can do a proper massage then I agreed.The 2 hours oil massage was very good and she knows her stuff as here in Cleopatra, they are well taught by the teacher (Number 22) and this lady (19) is thin and dimunitive but she can really locate all the pain spots and set out to ease the wind from them. 2 hours of oil massage and you get yourself cleaned by her with wet bath towels.. excellent, no Chinese tea though at the counter buy I am happy with the standard of massage here. - Went there in the afternoon for the 2-hr oil massage. The massage was good overall, but unlike the guest comment above, no prostate massage was offered, much to my disappointment. (September 2012)
- went there the other night. was highly dissappointed. the massage was rushed and the massuesses idea of a back massage was to walk all over my back. then to add insult to injury, i was abruptly told that time was up after only 1hr 20mins when i had paid for 2 hrs. steer clear of this place. - I have tried out Florida Ancient Massage located next to Florida hotel several times, the uniformed masseurs are good and recommendable to others. (2012)
- I have been to this a few times. The captain or manager speaks excellent English as she followed her Malaysian husband and stayed in Kuala Lumpur for a few years. There are massage ladies with fair or dark skin and most of the darker skinned ones tends to be more older and better at massage.
I selected the 2 hours massage all the time and every time I was given a near sensual massage with the lady preferring to massage myself in the buff. Near the end of the session, the word ping pong will be mentioned and for 200 baht, the job will be done with a happy ending at the end. Ladies here can be asked to massage in your hotel room if you stay at the Florida and they are also good looking especially those who are fair. I am sure they can be booked for the whole day.
Most of the ladies at cleopatra are milf and apart from the massage, she will purposely allow their body to be fondled so that the happy ending follows. there are 2 ladies at grand massage who are very good with prostate massage and they will spent at least 20 minutes to administer the treatment. Comments: Renting massage shops in the centre of Hat Yai is expensive and also the shops in the tourist district tend to be quite well furnished.
Outside the tourist district rents are lower and massage shops don't tend to be quite as comfortable. They should therefore be a lot cheaper.
For some reason this very ordinary massage shop, which isn't located in a particularly attractive part of town, is more expensive than some of the very comfortable massage shops in the centre of town.
As if that wasn't enough to put people off, they also have a 'special price' for Malaysian tourists which is more expensive than the price for Thais. Thais rip off Malaysians and Singaporeans in Hat Yai the same way as they rip off farangs in Phuket and the other farang tourist resorts.
Dual pricing is a very common practice in Thailand, but as far as I am aware this shop is the only massage shop in Hat Yai to have an open dual pricing policy.
Body and foot massage is Bt400 if you are Malaysian (or presumably Singaporean), or cheaper if you aren't.
It is located opposite the main entrance to Koke Samaan Kuun Temple.
The shop is open from 9am until 8pm.

Comments: Most department stores have a small massage shop tucked away somewhere. This one in Diana Department Store is located in the basement behind all the mobile phone shops.
You don't get much privacy in these places, and generally you don't find the pretty young things who work elsewhere, but prices are cheaper.
DD charges Bt180 for foot massage, Bt180 for Thai massage, Bt300 for oil massage and Bt220 for herbal massage.
The shop is open from 10:30 to 20:30.

Comments: This massage shop used to be called Kamlaitong, but it had a change of ownership. It is located near the BP Grand Tower hotel. The new owner tells me it is better than before because they now offer Thai herbal ball compress treatments.
However, when I went to check out the shop when it was called Kamlaitong they also offered a herbal ball massage. In all honesty, I don't expect that much has changed apart from the owner.

Comments: Hat Yai, like most Thai towns, is a crazy place. It's far too busy and there is constant noise and traffic. You can stand so much but frequent escapes are necessary to maintain your sanity and peace of mind.
Garabuning Spa is a calm oasis in a sea of chaos. It is set in a peaceful garden environment and when you enter you immediately leave chaotic Hat Yai behind. The owner keeps caged birds in the garden and once inside all you can hear is the sound of birdsong and gentle music.
The Garabuning web site says that it is located in one acre of forest, but garden is probably a more accurate description.
Rather than one building containing lots of massage rooms, there are little huts within the complex. These are very comfortable and relaxing. It has been a long time since I went for a massage there but the staff in the past were very pleasant and I guess that still applies.
The spa is located near to Diana department store and opens from 10am to 9pm.
Check their web site for details of packages and prices. The web site could do with a little English proof editing, but most of the information you need is there.

- My wife tried at Garabuning Spa, operated by husband and wife team cost about 1500bt for scrub, steam and oil massage duration 2hrs. Value for money. The place is like a garden, a lot of greenery. You call them, the husband will come and pick you up at your location and send you back after the spa.

Comments: I used to go here often during my single days. The rooms are fairly comfortable, the girls fairly attractive, and the prices fairly reasonable.
It is located close to the BP Grand Suite and BP Grand Tower hotels; within easy walking distance of Lee Gardens Plaza.
Their policy with outcalls is that the girls can only go to hotels that are nearby. The BP hotels should be fine, but you will have to check with the shop regarding other hotels.

Comments: This is obviously the in-house massage shop for the Grand Plaza Hotel. They refurbished the massage rooms a few years ago and now they are very comfortable and tastefully decorated.

- This is perhaps the only in-house massage shop that I consider visiting on a regular basis. The rate has increased as I remembered the Thai/Oil package was 499 baht.It works to know the name or number of the ladies are some are very good in certain fields for example prostate massage which I can highly recommend there are at least 2 here who can do it for 250 baht without a happy ending. The rooms are quite old but clean and it is very popular with tourists due to it's locality. Highly recommended. (March 2012)

Comments: In Hat Yai there is a distinct difference between spas and cheap massage shops. In the cheap places you can get a massage for a couple of hundred Baht from a village girl with very little training and the surroundings won't be that luxurious. It may be a very good massage, but that can't always be guaranteed.
The spas provide a much better experience, but they aren't cheap. As is always the case in life, you pays your money and you takes your choice.

Comments: With so many Malaysian and Singaporean tourists taking advantage of cheap massages when they visit Hat Yai, new massage shops open all the time to try to grab a slice of the pie.
Some are successful, and some aren't. In the past I have known new massage shops to open, only to close again soon after because there wasn't enough business to make a profit. There's a thin line between success and failure in the Hat Yai massage business.
This shop had only been open for about a month when I stopped by and there were no customers. It may thrive or, on the other hand, it may close. Time will tell.

Comments: K & K is located right next door to the Taipei hotel and is just opposite the Hatyai Merridian hotel.
Update November 2018: A visitor to this site wrote to tell me that K&K is now closed.
If you're taking a tuk-tuk or motorbike taxi to a massage shop, don't tell him where you are going. If you do, he will ask the shop for a commission for taking you and the price you are charged will be increased to cover to cover his commission.
If you want to go to K & K just tell the driver to take you to the Taipei hotel. If you do it this way, you won't have any nonsense with the driver.
Similar to Areewan Thai Massage, most of the girls at K & K are happy to oblige male customers. You can often get a feel for what kind of services are on offer by looking at the opening and closing times of the shop.
When shops open all night it normally indicates that there is a bit more going on than just Thai massage. You can get a massage at the shop or have a girl sent to your hotel room.
